Plot: Chance brings Donny & Diane together & after learning of each other's dysfunctional lives & childhoods, their souls unite, and begin an impossible journey to redemption.Story: This is the story of two downtrodden humans who are both 'Punch-Drunk'! One from too many hits to the head, and one from too many hits to the heart! The boxer (Donny) who after a night of taking a severe beating in the ring, which prematurely ends his once promising career, crosses paths, by chance, with a distraught and beaten down hooker (Dianne) who is about to end her life by jumping off a bridge. Donny realizes what she's about to do, and tries his best to make her understand that life is too precious to just end it all in that manner. He succeeds in talking her down. Afterwards they both come to realize they have a great deal in common, the most obvious fact being that they are both distraught at the hand life has dealt them. What to do then? Find Diane's little girl.. The little girl has been adopted by a drug-addicted mobster's daughter, putting the baby in dire straits, with no doubt its only chance being to have someone rescue it from this tumultuous life of violence and drugs. Time is of the essence. Donny joins Diane in her quest to recover the baby and help her flee from this No Man's Land of pimps, johns, drugs and mobsters. Donny realizes that this will take a whole lot of guts and grit, resolve and luck; with the chance he may not survive the wrath of these characters. But, because for once he's doing the right thing in his life, he'll take his chances in this journey for redemption.
